Michael Bach
Founder and CEO of The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion
As founder and CEO of Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, Michael has spent the last 15 years building a platform and developing solutions to engender Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) as social justice and business imperative vehicles across North American workspaces.
Before establishing CCDI, he was National Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for KPMG in Canada. He also worked for nearly three years as Deputy Chief Diversity Officer for KPMG International. He has often considered this to be one of the greatest opportunities he has had to develop future leaders and transfer knowledge on intercultural competence.
His present work with the team at CCDI has been deeply rewarding. CCDI operates in 18 cities across Canada helping employers create inclusive workplaces. CCDI has received numerous awards for its work, including the Canadian HR Reporter’s Readers’ Choice Award in the category of Diversity/Employment Equity Consultant each year from 2016 to 2019.
Personally, he has been humbled to receive recognition for his work in gender diversity, immigrant inclusion, and LGBTQ2+ advocacy.
Right now, CCDI is advocating for anti-black and anti-indigenous racism across Canada.
His new book ‘Birds of All Feathers: Doing Diversity and Inclusion Right” will be released on August 4th. Learn more at his website.
