Albert E. Smith Jr.
Corporate Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Chemonics International
A collaborative, strategic, and results-oriented leader, Albert E. Smith Jr. is an organizational learning and development practitioner, corporate diversity and inclusion strategist, and movement intellectual at Chemonics International. His professional services and practice specialties include coaching, keynoting and group facilitation, leadership development, cultural audit and needs assessment, curriculum design and delivery, and enterprise-wide system integration.
Trained in black cultural studies, queer theory, religious studies, ethics and critical race studies, Albert’s passion for justice and equality sits in the nexus of academia, community development, corporate social responsibility, public policy and grass-root activism. He is fiercely and unapologetically committed to advocacy for those “behind glass walls.”
A road warrior, art collector, style aficionado, master storyteller, and by some accounts, an “angelic troublemaker,” Albert has a natural knack for words and a mastery for understanding what big audacious ideas will help organizations win the future.
